Sampson Adedeji

Former Super Eagles players continue to showcase their readiness to take on coaching roles, with Terso Emmanuel Akile recently earning his UEFA C License.

Akile began his playing career with Nigeria’s Wikki Tourists before moving to Enugu Rangers and BCC Lions of Gboko. He also played for Udoji United from 1994 to 1996.

In addition to his domestic club experience, Akile represented Nigeria at various levels, including the Flying Eagles, Dream Team, and Super Eagles. He later moved abroad to play for Rangers FC in Hong Kong and also had a stint in China.

Transitioning into coaching, Akile started in the United States, working with St. Pius Varsity High School in Houston, Texas, and also managed Albion Soccer Academy.

Akile holds a Diploma in Coaching Academy Junior Level 1 from the National Soccer Coaches Association of the United States (NSCAA) and a certification from the Nigerian National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Lagos.

He earned his UEFA C License through the M&N Coaching Education Department under the guidance of Bolarinwa Obalola Kobayashi, a coach based in both Nigeria and Japan.

Akile joins former Super Eagles players Seyi Ogunsanya and Peter Owubokiri, who also earned their UEFA C Licenses through the M&N Coaching Education Department.
