M&N FC goalkeeper Temiloluwa Adelakin has attributed his side’s defeat to bad luck following their clash against FC Ebedei in the Claus Steinlein Cup.
Adelakin delivered an impressive performance between the sticks in what was a keenly contested encounter, making a series of crucial saves to keep M&N FC in the game.
Despite his heroics, M&N FC fell short, with Adelakin insisting that the outcome did not reflect the team’s overall effort.
“We tried our best but we were just unlucky in the game. Above all, we did well,” he said.
The shot-stopper also reflected on an earlier mistake during the match, maintaining that he remained mentally strong and focused throughout the contest.
“I didn’t allow the mistake to weigh me down; instead, I put in more effort,” Adelakin added.
Looking ahead, the goalkeeper assured supporters that the team would shift attention to their next challenge as they prepare for the upcoming DSL League campaign.
“We will be ready for the upcoming DSL League in the coming days,” he concluded.
