Head coach of M&N FC, James Ayeyemi, has commended his players for their resilience despite suffering a narrow defeat to FC Ebedei in the final of the Claus Steinlein Cup.
M&N FC fell short in a closely contested encounter against FC Ebedei, but Ayeyemi expressed pride in his team’s performance and fighting spirit throughout the competition.
“The players gave a good account of themselves and I salute their courage and fighting spirit,” Ayeyemi said after the match.
The coach, however, admitted that there are areas that require urgent improvement, particularly in front of goal.
“We need to improve our goalscoring and we’ve been working on it in the past few weeks,” he added.
Despite missing out on the trophy, Ayeyemi maintained that the experience gained from the tournament would serve as motivation for the team as they continue their development and prepare for future competitions.
