Moxie Samurai began their campaign in the 2026 DSL league in impressive fashion with a convincing 3–1 victory over Kakawa FC in their opening fixture.
The Samurai boys delivered a dominant performance, setting the tone early and showing their attacking intent from the start of the encounter.
Midfielder Abass Toheeb opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a well-worked move to give Moxie Samurai the lead.
Just three minutes later, winger David Gyang doubled the advantage, finishing calmly to put his side firmly in control before the halftime break.
Gyang returned in the second half to complete his brace, extending the lead to 3–0 and effectively putting the game beyond Kakawa FC.
Kakawa FC managed to pull one back later in the match after capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Moxie Samurai, but it proved to be only a consolation.
The emphatic win sends a strong message to other teams in the league as Moxie Samurai signal their intention to compete strongly in the 2026 DSL season.
