Japan-based Nigerian UEFA-licensed coach, Bolarinwa Obalola Kobayashi, has filed a lawsuit against former Flying Eagles striker, Ganiyu Oseni, over alleged defamatory remarks made during a recent online interview.
Kobayashi claims he played a significant role in reviving Oseni’s career by securing him a contract with Japanese club Esperanza. However, Oseni reportedly breached the club’s code of conduct through persistent truancy, nightlife activities, and other disciplinary issues, which ultimately led to the termination of his contract before the season ended.
After returning to Nigeria, Oseni appeared on an online platform where he allegedly made disparaging and damaging statements about Kobayashi.
In reaction, Kobayashi has opted to seek legal redress through the courts, determined to clear his name.
