Nigeria Football Intermediary Advice Grassroot Coaches To Study More
By Sampson Adedeji
One of Nigeria leading Football Intermediary Micheal Shodeke has urged the grassroots coaches to study more on the last tactics in football.

Shodeke made this call while speaking to coaches during a virtual coaching lecture organised by Bolarinwa Obalola Kobayashi under the auspices Oyo State Grassroot Football Coaching Education. (OYSGFCE)
He said its not advisable for coaches to be involved in too many things as coaching alone is a big assignment.
” If you have the skills, then approach Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) and apply but if you don’t have the required skill, I will advise you go for an internship and learn under an agent for at least 6 months or one year after that go and acquire your license.

Even, while working with one agent he can help you secure your licence easily.
I have 4 licenced agent now, they worked under me for 6 months before getting their licence, before that I gave them copies of different types of players representation, club represebtation and coach representation etc.
I gave them different copies of documents for them to modify for their own use. If you don’t have the skills you need to learn it is very important.
The business of football is wide and I want to advise the coaches on this platform, if you are a coach stay in that direction don’t be a coach at the same time be a scout, manager, PRO and agent of the club.
You don’t need to be occupied with something that does not concerns you, be the coach stay there engage yourself, study more.
There are new tactics on ground now and the most important thing is how to interpret tactics to the players, most coaches in Nigeria don’t have it, you can’t teach tactics, you translate it, if you don’t know how to do it go and learn it,” he explained.
At the end of the lecture Coach Kobayashi appreciate him for way and manner the lecture was delivered.
