Nigerian Born Coach Lead Finland Club Back To The Premier League

Finland’s club Atlantis FC has finally secured promotion to the elite division with the efforts of the Nigerian-born coach Moshood Bola Abdulaziz.

 

Group B of the League otherwise known as Kakkonen ended with Atlantis FC finishing in the 4th position on the log.

 

 

Atlantis under the tutelage of Moshood Bola recorded remarkable results, coupled with some scintillating displays of soccer artistry.

The 55-year-old Nigeria gaffer was appointed as the manager of the first team in January on a year deal with the mandate of taking the team to the elite division.

He possesses a UEFA Pro A license obtained from the University of Wales and also possesses various certificates from top European countries.

He has worked as Team talents instructor with the Finland Football Federation and has also worked at the under level for the federation.

He was the coach of the Indian club Mohammedan Sporting Club in Kolkata in I-league, Won Durand Cup Champion 2013, before returning to Finland to handle FC Kapa in Helsinki in 2015.

He has been in charge of the Atlantis FC youth side since then and has helped them to various medals and titles.

Bola also have various achievement as a coach winning silver twice with the Finland U20 team before claiming the gold medal in 2022

Apart from Bola as the coach, the team also has 4 Nigerians on their payroll including Ifeanyi Ani, Samuel Salau, lbekwe Chijioke and Chidera Ajunwoko.

The club finished 4th on the table with 41 points from 22 matches
