NLO Youth League: M&N FC Suffers First Defeat

After going 3 matches without defeat, M&N FC suffered their first defeat in the ongoing 2023 NLO Youth League.

The Samurai Boys drew their first two matches against Remo Comets and Custom FC.

They secured their first win on Monday with a comprehensive 6-1 win over Gadmaj.

 

 


They faced host FC Ebiede in Sagamu on Tuesday and it was a game to forget as they lost controversially to the Churchill Boys. The match which was played at the FC Ebiede stadium started on high notes with both teams trying to seize control of the game.

M&N FC forward Badmus has back-to-back chances that he failed to convert and the host also has numerous chances but the backline of the Samurai boys led by Amos Akinsipe and Future Eagles defender Taiwo Sogelola.

FC Ebiede got the first goal against the run of play after the centre referee refused to blow what it supposed to be a foul against Sogelola. The first stanza ended with the host leading 1-0 but the away team shows a lot of promises going into the locker room. The second half resumed with M&N trying to come back into the game but the arbiter continue to peg them back.

Ebiede got two quick goals in the second half to wrap up the game and maintained their position on top of the table
