Despite rapid development in the game of soccer, Nigeria footballers continued to fall victims of dubious football agent within and outside the shore of the country.
Some people will disguise as a certified FIFA football agent deceived the players only to take them outside country dumped them to their fate.
South America Based football agent Bolarinwa Abimbola explained that the plight of aspiring young footballer especially Nigeria gave him the drive to set up a certified football agency ‘ Missa Sport Promotion’.
” I started scouting for players when I was in Dubai in 2010, I came across a lots of players in Dubai that doesn’t have a manger or agent.
Some people promised them that when they get to Dubai they will take them to Europe to further their career in soccer but at the end they were left behind.
I met with some players talking with them get to know how they got to Dubai, we had a lots of discussions.
So that really prompted me into soccer agency and scouting, when I left Dubai for Kenya same year it was same story, so many talented Nigeria players were dumped in Kenya .
It really touched me and I said to myself that it will be nice if I can come into assist in anyway I can, so that was when I started and to God be the glory one or two players through my agency “, he stated.
