Ridwan Scorpion Bounce Back Strongly Against Ghanaian Opponent

Nigeria-born and Japan-based boxer Ridwan Oyekola aka Scorpion bounced strongly to winning ways with a comfortable victory over the Ghanaian challenger Emmanuel Quartey.



The energetic boxer started his boxing career in Nigeria and had his professional bout in 2017 in which he recorded an outstanding result.

Since 2017, Scorpion has had 17 bouts, winning 12, drawing 2 and losing the other 2 to announce his arrival into the boxing World.



In 2018, he became Nigeria’s national title holder in the Super Featherweight class.

Scorpion’s victory on December 27 against Lucas Mathias from Argentina confirmed him as the WBF title holder

He decided to relocate to Japan in December 2022, while in Japan Scorpion took part in 6 fights, he won 4, drew 1 and lost 1.

He was rated number one in the Asia country and he was qualified to contest for Japan title and World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific title which he lost to Daisuke Matsumoto.

He demonstrated a strong character against Quartey by knocking him out in 2:15 seconds
