Action continues on the opening day of the Samurai League and it was a day to forget for the White Lions as they suffered a shocking defeat to Newcastle FC.
The first game of the witnessed the defending champions M&N FC beating Bomarah FC 3-1.
The second game at the Remo Stadium experiences a very drab display from Newcastle and the White Lions FC.
Newcastle was able to secure the only goal of the game early in the first half through Roland buried the first chance presented to him by the backline of the White Lions.
Both sides tried to outplay each other in the second half but all their efforts proved abortive as the game ended in a 1-0 victory in favour of Newcastle FC.
