Samurai League: Yewa FC Dethrones M&N FC To Win 2025 Edition
Yewa FC have been crowned champions of the 2025 Samurai League, bringing an end to M&N FC’s dominance after three consecutive title wins.
Yewa FC sealed the championship on Friday following a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Elegant FA in their final group match of the competition. The result was enough to confirm Yewa as winners, having already done the groundwork in their earlier fixtures.
Elegant FA took the lead in the first half through Toheeb Olakunlehin, putting pressure on Yewa FC as the contest progressed. However, Yewa responded with renewed intensity after the break and were duly rewarded when Yunus Mohammed struck the equaliser to restore parity.
The draw ensured Yewa FC finished the tournament with seven points from three matches. Their title-winning run included an opening-game victory over defending champions M&N FC, followed by another win against Amazing FC, before the decisive draw against Elegant FA.
Yewa FC’s triumph not only hands them the 2025 Samurai League crown but also marks a significant shift in the competition’s hierarchy, ending M&N FC’s reign at the top.
